Email Campaigns

Create, preview and send HTML email campaigns directly from the WebinOne admin via your connected email marketing provider (Mailchimp currently available).

The Email Campaigns section will display all created campaigns along with their sending status, and provide the ability to edit the campaign details and content, via the pencil icon (), or delete the campaign, via the trash can icon ().

Create/Edit Campaigns

You can edit an existing email campaign by clicking on the campaign name or the pencil icon () for the corresponding campaign, or click the “CREATE NEW EMAIL CAMPAIGN” to start building from a blank campaign.

Settings

The campaign creation process will prompt you for the basic required details for a campaign to be created in WebinOne and synced to your email marketing account.

The following describes the settings available.
Name
Description
Name
Give your campaign a descriptive title to identify it in both the website admin and your email marketing account.
Mailing List
Select from the mailing lists currently added to your website’s admin. See the Mailing Lists article to create or connect list/s to your website.
Delivery

Select the timing method your campaign will use:

One-time Campaign: The campaign will send at the time you finalise the campaign and click the “SEND” button.
Schedule Delivery: The campaign will only send on the specified date and time (which will become available after selecting this option) once you have finalised the campaign and clicked the “SEND” button.

Scheduled sending is available only in some email marketing provider plans. If your email marketing account does not support this feature, the email will not be sent out.

Delivery Date
The date and time used for campaign delivery when the ‘Schedule Delivery’ option is used.

Email Info

Configure the essential sending details for your campaign.

These details are synced to your email marketing account, so changes made in either location will be reflected in the other.

Name
Description
From Name
The name displayed as the sender in the delivered email (typically a person or company name).
From Email

The email address displayed as the sender in the delivered email.

This email address needs to be verified in your email marketing account to allow sending of the campaign. Without verification, the email will not be sent out.

Subject
The subject line displayed in the delivered email.
Preview Text
The short description often displayed in the email client for the delivered email to describe the email contents prior to opening the email.

Content

An open editor, providing Code View and WYSIWYG editing modes, allows you to create a full custom HTML email campaign layout and content, which will be synced with your email marketing account.

Any HTML content suitable for email design can be used here, along with most data tags from your email marketing provider (which are available from the floating toolbar on the right side of the admin screen). These data tags will render content when sending test emails and when sending the final campaign. However, they will not render content in the preview mode.

While WebinOne components and Liquid tags can be added to the editor, these features are currently not supported in email campaign rendering and will simply display as raw text if used.

See the Admin Editor article for more details on working with the editor interface.

Preview / Sending

The preview page provides a sample of how the email campaign may look when rendered in the browser or email client.

This preview is for general guidance only. Actual rendering of HTML emails can differ for various clients, browsers, operating systems and devices. Please always test your email campaigns thoroughly via the test sending provided by your email marketing provider, and/or by sending actual samples of the campaign to a subset of test users.

Additionally, the preview page allows you to send test emails of your campaign to a specified email address, via your email marketing provider’s servers, or to finalise the campaign setting and confirm the campaign for either immediate sending or scheduled sending (depending on your settings on the ‘Email Info’ tab).

Scheduled sending is available only in some email marketing provider plans. If your email marketing account does not support this feature, the email will not be sent out.
